The Yamas and Niyamas, are the first two limbs of the eight limbs of yoga outlined by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras. Through the Yamas and Niyamas we are given a moral code that helps us to live in our inner and outer world in a peaceful and authentic way.

The attached guide included yogic practices - Mudra, Mantra / Meditation - that can be used independently as a complete meditation or they can be combined with your asana practice.

What is resiliency? Resiliency is the ability to pick yourself and go out into the world even when your body and mind are fighting you. .
Some people are born resilient. Sometimes it’s stripped away through adverse experiences and trauma. For others it’s a skill (yes a skill, like reading, writing, riding a bike) that needs to be learned. This learning can be nurtured in many ways. Two that are essential... .
1. A support network of friends and professionals that are compassionate and see YOU through the muck
2. Having tools in your emotional toolbox that feel safe and are practiced, practiced and practiced some more. .
The first is integral. Your support network should mirror faith in your ability to heal and grow, and listen openly on the days when it feels too much. This is what motivates the darkness to get out of bed and practice. .
What are some ways you build your resiliency “muscle”?
