Loss comes in many forms. Culturally we very attuned to traumatic loss such as premature death, which we know to be devastating. In my practice I have worked with traumatic loss and also major life stressors that are often accompanied by grief such as the end of a marriage, infertility, job loss, major illness and retirement to name a few.

Whatever the root of your grief yoga can be a very helpful in navigating this painful journey. Yoga for grief is highly personalized to the individual and often include gentle movement, mantra chanting (listening or participating) and heart-centered care inspired by the spiritual teaching of yoga philosophy. These teachings are secular and can be wrapped in most religions.
