In yoga therapy for depression the we work collaboratively to find simple practices that will give you an experience of vitality and ease the heaviness that often accompanies depression. The practices are accessible to everyone, and because we collaborate in each session you decide what works for you. I support you in building a realistic routine to practice at home - when you need it the most. For example, its very common for people living with depression to struggle with getting up in the morning so we can practice tools that can be done in bed allowing you feel brighter as you start your day.

Yoga has been shown to be very helpful at alleviating depression. In my experience many group yoga classes, by necessity, adopt a one-size-fits-all approach that lacks the personalized attention needed to address individual mental health needs. Having a space where you can be yourself, without judgement, can be very helpful in putting you at ease so the practices are most beneficial. We take our time initially and find a pace that suits you.
