Hi, my name is Katlin. I’m a certified Yoga Therapist specializing in yoga for mental health. I help clients living with anxiety, trauma, depression and grief (including GAD, PTSD, complex trauma) to find more peace and ease so they can live more fully. I offer group classes, private sessions and workshops - online and in-person in London, Ontario. I also offer professional training & mentorship for yoga teachers, yoga therapists and mental health workers. How yoga therapy can help
Yoga Therapy is a complimentary therapy based on ancient Yoga philosophy and modern scientific research. It compassionately supports people with a large variety of chronic or temporary conditions who are best served with an individualized yoga practice or in small groups. Practices are tailored to suit your individual needs and, depending on what resonates with you, may incorporate many traditional yoga practices including: asana (postures and movement), pranayama (breathwork), yoga nidra and other forms of meditation, mudras (hand gestures), sankalpa (intention setting / affirmation), mantra & chanting.
There are four goals of Yoga Therapy for mental health:
Regulate the nervous system so your entire system is tuned for healing
Relieve acute physical symptoms by opening and releasing holding in the body and increasing circulation
Reduce emotional distress, such as anxiety, depression, and self-criticism
Reconnect with a sense of feeling whole and connected

Yoga for Mental Health teacher training
Learn how yoga supports the most prominent mental health conditions, including contraindications and best practices for trauma, anxiety and depression. Develop inner wisdom that will allow you to listen, observe and consider how what you share impacts your students’ mental and emotional well being.
